(KMRIPL) is a pioneer name engaged in manufacturing, supplying, and exporting a wide range of spare parts and components such as steel casting, ductile iron casting, cast iron casting, fabrication engineering, low & high alloy casting etc. The company was founded by a futurist and visionary engineer Mr. Swapan Kumar Ghosh, a Gold Medalist in Metallurgical Engineering with over 26 years of experience in the field of Foundry Technology. Under his expert guidance and zeal combined with pro-active initiatives of other aspiring professionals, KMRIPL has established itself as a leading player in this business segment.

State-of-the art Infrastructure:
Since inception KMRIPL has been fulfilling the growing and constant changing demands of industry by manufacturing a wide range of steel castings, cast iron castings, ductile iron castings, and other such products at cost effective prices. This has been possible only because of our sincere efforts which are backed by a state of the art infrastructure.
We keep ourselves updated with modern trends of industry and use latest manufacturing techniques and equipments for manufacturing our range of casting products. The company is equipped with world-class production plant, quality control unit, packing & delivery unit and a spacious warehouse. Our infrastructure facilities encompass the following units:
Production Unit:
We possess a world-class foundry which is situated at Kharagpur. Our foundry is fully equipped with all necessary amenities to deliver 300 to 400 M/t of steel per month and is among the few in the India to be recognized by Research and Design Standards Organisation, Ministry of Railway (Lucknow) as “Class – A Foundry” complying with IS-12117:1996.
We have two Induction Furnaces each having capacity to produce castings ranging from 0.5 kgs to 2000 kgs. Our professionals use no-bake core making processes for better dimensional accuracy and high productivity. The production unit has fully equipped moulding shop with various high capacity moulding machines and in-house pattern making and heat-treatment facility.
Quality Assurance:
At KMRIPL, utmost importance is given to make sure that all our products are matching with established quality norms. The company attributes its success in this business domain largely to its excellent quality control facilities. We manufacture flawless steel casting products due to our in-house testing facilities and metallurgical laboratory, enabling us to satisfy our clients on all quality parameters. In order to offer complete quality assurance to our esteemed customers, we undertake regular R&D exercises under the guidance of renowned professors of the Indian Institute of Technology/Kharagpur (IIT-K).
All these R & D activities are backed by a complete set of test equipments like extra high-value scanning and transmission electron microscopes and many more. The main reason behind such investment in quality control is because at KMRIPL, we believe that customers’ satisfaction is the only key to get success in this competitive market. Testing Facilities:
Our world class Emission Spectrometer/ARL Switzerland make helps us to maintain the exact chemical composition as desired by customers. Our physical testing lab includes all kinds of imported testing machines such as the universal tensile testing machine, impact testing machine at room and sub-zero temperatures, various types of hardness testing machines etc.
In addition to these, we have fully equipped sand testing laboratory and a chemical testing lab to cater all quality needs of our valued customers. We possess in-house metallurgical microscope (Carl-Zeiss/Germany make) with photographic attachments to test the heat-treated materials for further up-gradation of metallurgical properties.
Quality Management System:
KMRIPL believes that its survival and success depends upon quality of products and customer satisfaction. The quest to achieve these quality objectives has earned us an ISO: 9002:1994 Certificate from DNV/Netherlands in the year 2000 and subsequently the coveted ISO: 9001:2000 Certificate in the year 2003 for CRS Registrar Inc./USA. Apart from this, we have received many appreciations and accolades from our valued customers such as the award for outstanding performance form FAG/India, award of excellence from both Govt. of West Bengal & Govt. of India etc. Moreover, the company is now certified as ISO: 9001:2000 by British Standard Institute/UK.
Environment Management System:
We are a professionally managed company with strong concerns about the environment, we live in. In order to keep our environment safe and clean, we employ eco-friendly manufacturing processes. Our recent developments regarding export consignments inspired us to go for this Environment Management System Certification and in the year 2003 we have received the covered ISO: 14001: 1996 from CRS Registrar Inc./USA.
